Great balance transfer card
Credit Karma Member

Stumbled upon this on credit karma, i had a cc with a $3500 balance charging me 80/month in interest. I applied and got approved for $4,600 right away which was plenty, went through the balance transfer process pretty quick and they only charged me $176 one time fee. Finished paying off the card thanks to $0 every month. The only reason i don’t give it a 5 star is because customer service was atrocious other than that really good experience with the card.

Don't Do It. Just Pass

This card killed my credit score. (I have 2 of them) I've had the first card for a few years and enjoyed a high credit line (>$22K). They experienced a system issue and applied my payment late by 2 days, then used that as justification to kill my credit line (From $22K to $11K) and jack up the interest to their penalty rate of 29.99%. Phone calls were pointless as they readily acknowledged a system fault but insisted that nothing could be done. This put my credit utilization from 48% to 98% which torpedoed my credit score. The higher Int rate meant my $500+ p/mo payments were closer to minimum payments now. Credit line Halved. Utilization Doubled. Int. Rate almost tripled. Paid it off and put it up. The other one as well. Not letting a credit card company kill me like that. Customer service was a joke.

Useless card dont get it
Credit Karma Member

I have stellar credit above 800. Citi only approved me for a miserably $3500. Bunch of crap. I mainly applied for this car to use it for balance transfer. Cant use this card for balance transfer when the credit limit is too low. $3500 what a joke. $10 000 to $15000 at minimum for people with excellent credit.

Amazing Card for Balance Transfer
Credit Karma Member

Initially, I got approved for this card with a 650 credit score and approved for $2500. I transferred my existing balance of two other cards at $1800, which I paid off within 21 months with 0% APR. I got two automatic credit increases within my first year. This card truly helped me with my credit journey.

Worst card
Credit Karma Member

I had it all they want access to your checking acct. I paid them off and they owed me a credit refund. Got the credit refund and they put it as a purchase, it was open from 10/2-10/13 before it paid off and charged me $13 interest. That was not right

LOWWWW limit
Credit Karma Member

I wanted this card because it had an almost 2 yr no interest balance transfer option. I planned to transfer my 6.3% car loan to it when to my surprise my credit limit turned out to be $500! I have great credit and usually pay off my balances monthly. I would have never applied for this card if I knew I could never use it!

don’t do it. just listen to the reviews!
Credit Karma Member

applied with 726 credit score, approved with only $500 credit line!!! was looking to transfer $4000 into this card, but now idk what i’m going to do with a $500 credit line…the 0% APR for 21 months is appealing, but what’s the point if you can’t actually utilize it?

WHY DO PEOPLE THINK 750 IS A GREAT SCORE?
Credit Karma Member

I read the horror stories, but people are complaining that they have a score of 725 or 755 and citi did this and that, thats a decent score, but by no means is it Great. I have 830, I have one card (Not this one) $100K credit limit, and never allow it to go above $2000. FYI 20% of the population has 800+ score. I went from 505 to 830 in 6 years, it's not hard, just use auto pay, no inquires 1-2 MAX, and keep Credit utilization 1-5%. 0% utilization hurts your score as does anything above 5%

Reducing available credit after 1 purchase
Credit Karma Member

Owned the card for 5 months and only use the card for emergencies. The limit was 8k used less than 1k and they reduced my credit to that amount ...I'm paying and canceling because this reduction also hurts my credit score with less credit available
