My husband died unexpectedly and as a person with a disability, I suddenly had NO income. I used what little credit there was on other cards to survive but that made my credit hit the 300's. Through just a couple of cards, with First Progress being on, I am given a chance. I pay on time & am responsible, and so far - First Progress has been amazing. I have clawed my credit into the 600's within a few months. Easy to work with. Just be a responsible credit user and pay on time (auto-pay is the best and easiest) .... and you can benefit a LOT with this card!

Sent my deposit. Couple days later they emailed and said they need to verify and send a copy of my license and utility. Fair enough. They tried to put a link to upload documents and it wouldn’t go. No link actually attached. I called and they asked me to fax the documents. Did that and more than a week later my application is not even reviewed ( It says and I was also told two business days ) asked to cancel my application and refund my deposit. Still waiting. DONT DO IT!

I opened 2 cards a few years back to help build my credit up to purchase a home. There's been several times where I paid through their website, gotten a confirmation number, only to have it be counted as a late payment and then told "it was never confirmed". Its virtually impossible to get in touch with and actual person. The customer service and billing department aren't the same entity and their only communication with each other is thru a text message. I could go on and on; it got so bad that I had to record the conversations with the CS representative. I rarely ever write reviews but I feel as though this company's foundation is built on predatory lending and people need to be told the truth. BEWARE!

I put a $2000 deposit so I put all my bills on autopay. Well this card declines everything. I can't make one purchase. Upside it reports good credit no balance . Downside that was my last money, if I cancel the card my credit history decline will hurt my credit.

No phone department, surprise charges, predatory policies regarding billing and reporting dates.. there are much better options for prepaid cards to restore credit history, take the time to find them

Do NOT apply for this card. Never. It is the worst creycard ever. I can’t even believe credit karma would recommend it.

How Does A Person’s Information Just Vanish

"This credit card company has been a disappointment. I deposited money for a secured credit line, but I never received the card. When I contacted them, they said I had to repeat the entire process and promised a refund for the deposit. However, when I called again, they claimed they had no record of my name, social security number, or any previous interactions, despite the fact that I had been speaking with representatives throughout the entire week. It's frustrating that my application or transaction ID simply vanished. I found this company through Credit Karma's app."

Payment system is horrible. It’s designed to be difficult and make customer payments late. These people just want your deposit and don’t provide good service for it.

They prey on those with low credit

This credit card company is a scam that preys on people with low credit. I paid my bill on the 1st. It's due on the 14th, they are holding my payment until the 15th "for security purposes" but will not explain what that is or why. Also no other company holds payments that long I've done my research. They are trying to force late fees and debt on to their customers and it's really messed up. If you have bad credit or just want help building it do not pick this card!!!

Predatory lending at its finest

Opt pasted info to make a payment into their app. Worked one month. After that it never worked again. Eventually called to ask what was going on, had to make a payment w a paper check now. Told them to take the money out of the secured deposit and send the rest back. Now I have to wait a minimum of 7 weeks to get my money back. Every call with an overseas call center with bankers hours. Alllying I kept getting letters I was denied after secure payment was done. This should have clued me in. Card is a joke
